SETexDOC Day Ride - Sunday 11/28 (Houston area)

This time we're taking a ride through the forests and countryside north of Houston. The route will be decided at breakfast: either a good ride northeast to Woodville for lunch, or a shorter loop closer to home. Either way we'll pick up lots of nice back roads.
- Breakfast 9:00 AM
Gather at IHOP
19711 Hwy 59 N
(Just south of FM 1960 on
the southbound access road)
- Kickstands up 10:00 AM
Ride: The north forests and countryside
Lunch: Woodville (Pickett House) or Montgomery
Return to Houston: 2:30 - 3:00 PM
All riders & all bikes welcome!
Weather Forecast (Updated Saturday 11/27):
Ride temperatures ranging from 53 to 67 degrees
No rain expected

I will be bringing my wife, so I'll be on the ST4s and riding somewhat slower  She is like a speed limiting device--when I go too fast I get smacked on my helmet. haha |

I'm try to get a backrest (i.e. sissy bar) made for her so she won't feel like she's going to fall off. Milan |

Great ride yesterday. The roads for the most part were new to me and I was pleased to discover how good they were. Carr, would like to get that map off you as I would like to do them again. You tend not to pay too much attention when following someone.
Hope you all made it back safe and didnt have too much trouble on the 45 on the way home. That traffic sucked!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I hope everyone had a fun time, in spite of my faux pas outside Livingston and the horrid traffic on the way back in.
That was one of our longer rides. The December ride and the New Year's Day ride will be shorter.
